This is not a kit but an accessory. The belt in the heavy machine gun caliber is supplied as a continuous flexible piece 300 mm long, so you can cut exactly what you need from it. In the large 1:24 scale the rounds are substantial and the belt becomes a prominent element of the whole model.
The Cal.50 caliber corresponds to 12.7 mm, that is, the most widespread heavy machine gun armament of American equipment of the Second World War and of the later period. You will meet it on vehicle mounts, in turreted positions and in the gun bays of aircraft. Large models usually show such weapons exposed, so the ammunition belt is clearly visible from close up and a simplified plastic part always gives away its origin here.
Dry-fit the run of the belt first and only then shorten it with a sharp blade led between the rounds. Wash and degrease the part before painting, then apply a thin primer; a heavy coat cracks when bent. Alternating colors on the cases and the tips of the bullets, or marking tracers in a different shade, give the belt depth in a large scale. A dark wash accentuates the gaps between the rounds, light work with a dry brush pulls out the edges, and a gentle rub with graphite adds a metallic sheen. Fix the bend with a drop of super glue where it seats.
The package contains the ammunition belt only. The weapon, the model, paints and glue are not included. The part is small and does not belong in the hands of small children.
