The LS600hL is the top line of Lexus, that is, a large representative limousine. The abbreviation in the name combines two things: the hybrid system, in which a V8 engine is supplemented by an electric part of the drive, and the long version of the body with more room for the passengers in the rear. The real car does not bet on ostentation but on calm lines and long surfaces, which when building the model is an opportunity and a demand at the same time.
The assembly in itself is not complicated; what decides is above all the surface. Feel the body with your fingers before painting, because the hand finds an unevenness that the eye overlooks. Try joining the mating surfaces of the parts dry before you apply the glue, and even out any gaps by sanding, not by pressure. Leave the small parts for the end and glue them only once the paintwork is finished.
The large surface of the body reveals every mistake, so apply the paint in thin coats and do not rush the next one. Once the paint has cured, very fine sanding and polishing help; only then does the gloss that belongs on a limousine appear. The interior, on the other hand, is what holds the model together in the viewer's eye: matte surfaces and one different shade of the upholstery do more than painstaking detail work.
It suits collectors of road cars and modelers who want to practice painting. With cars, 1:24 scale is one of the most common ones, and the finished car is easy to stand beside the others.
