This injection-molded plastic kit represents the delivery version of the popular Mercedes 170 V in 1:24 scale. The set contains plastic parts, decals and instructions; the model also offers engine detail and the option of building the side panels of the engine bay open or closed.
The Mercedes-Benz 170 V appeared in 1935 and became one of the commercially most successful models of the marque. Besides sedans, utility versions were also built; the Lieferwagen delivery van served tradesmen and companies and is a typical vehicle of the interwar and postwar era.
The body is best served by a gloss finish and light polishing, and the chrome trim and the glazing should be fitted at the end. An open engine bay is worth spraying the engine detail for. Use liquid cement for plastic and paint with an airbrush over a base coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
