An injection-molded plastic kit of the Nissan Fairlady Z sports coupe of the Z33 generation in the Version Nismo trim of 2007. The 1:24 scale is one of the most widespread for car models, so the finished model measures roughly eighteen centimeters and takes detail work well. The manufacturer is the Japanese company Aoshima, which has long specialized in models of standard and modified Japanese cars.
Fairlady Z is the Japanese trade name of the car sold on export markets as the Nissan 350Z. The Z33 generation was built from 2002 and kept the classic layout of a two-seat coupe with a front engine and rear-wheel drive. Under the hood worked a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter VQ-series V6. Version Nismo is the factory sports variant prepared by the Nismo racing division, which differs from the standard car mainly in a more pronounced aerodynamic package and different suspension tuning.
On a car model the paint decides the result. First remove the mold parting lines from the body, sand it with fine abrasive paper and apply a filler primer, which will reveal any remaining unevenness. Spray the color in several thin coats and let it cure thoroughly, and only then add the gloss clear coat and any polishing. Glue the plated chrome parts sparingly with cyanoacrylate glue applied on a pin so that the finish is not damaged, and fit the glazing with a glue intended for clear parts that does not fog them.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
