This is an add-on set of alloy wheels and tires in 1:24 scale, not a car kit. The package contains four rims in the SHADOW5 style with a five-hole design in a 14 inch execution, matching low-profile tires and a decal sheet. The set is intended for replacing the standard wheels on car models, for tuning conversions and for bringing a build to life with wheels of your own.
Alloy wheels give a car model the look of a modified or racing version. The SHADOW5 design is among the popular Japanese tuning rims and suits models of Japanese sports cars as well as European cars ideally. The wheels are mounted on the hubs of the model, usually through plastic mounts; on some kits a small adjustment of the seating is needed.
The rims tend to come chrome-plated; for a realistic look it pays to refine the details with a brush and, if you like, to emphasize the wheel centers. Degrease the mating surfaces before gluing. Do not glue the tires to chrome with cyanoacrylate without scuffing; they hold better once the mating edge has been sanded lightly. Check the compatibility of the bolt spacing and the diameter against the hubs of the particular model.
This is an add-on set of wheels and tires, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
