The real subject

The Toyota Celica 1600GT is among the cars with which Japanese production made itself heard among sports coupes at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s. A short front overhang, a long hood and a low roof gave it proportions that carry over well into 1:24 scale. The finish carries the designation Macau GP.

What the kit contains

Building and painting tips

• wash the body before painting, fingerprints show through the paint
• apply the paint in several thin coats, one heavy one runs
• cement the glazing only when the paintwork is finished, and only with a glue that does not fog it
• mask the windows and the trim before spraying, not after it has dried
• the interior of a coupe is clearly visible and it pays to spend time on it
• polish the body only once the paint has fully cured

For collectors of car models in 1:24 scale and for modelers who like Japanese sports coupes. The build is rewarding even for the less experienced, because cars tend to have fewer parts than aircraft and most of the work lies in the quality of the paintwork. Paints, varnish, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
