An injection-molded plastic kit of the classic Volkswagen Type 2 delivery van in the striking version with the Fire Pattern flame motif from the manufacturer Hasegawa in 1:24 scale. Besides the plastic sprues (among them chrome-plated and clear parts) and the decals with the motif of flames and stars, the package also contains a resin figure of a girl. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Volkswagen Type 2, popularly the bulli, is an iconic utility vehicle with the engine at the back and an unmistakable split or one-piece front screen. The Delivery Van version served tradesmen and firms as a reliable workhorse and in time became a symbol of free-thinking culture. This variant of the model treats it as a stylish custom with a striking paint job of flames and stars.
Given the striking paint scheme, lay out the order of the colors and the masking in advance; the flames and stars can be dealt with by decals or with an airbrush over masks. Spray the body smooth and polish it with gloss varnish. Leave the chrome-plated parts without varnish, or treat them only lightly. Wash the resin figure free of the remains of mold release agent before gluing and glue it on with cyanoacrylate glue; paint it separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
