Grilles for the Sd.Kfz.181 Tiger I (1:25) is an Aber photo-etched set with faithful engine deck grilles for a model of the Tiger I heavy tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of fine photo-etched metal grilles from the Polish maker Aber in 1:25 scale for a model of the German heavy tank Tiger I. It replaces the thick and opaque plastic grilles over the engine and the radiators with thin, cut-through metal mesh you can see into the hull through — one of the most visible details of the rear.
The Tiger I (Sd.Kfz.181) was a German heavy tank of the Second World War, famous for its thick armor and its gun of 8.8 cm caliber. The layout of the cooling and ventilation grilles on the upper face of the hull is one of its characteristic marks, and in 1:25 scale it stands out strongly.
Take the grilles carefully out of the fret and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Backing them with black from below gives an impression of depth. Degrease and prime the metal before painting. Bring the surfaces to life with a light dust wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model of the tank, glue and paints are not included in the package.
