This injection-molded plastic kit from the American manufacturer MPC represents the legendary gasser type dragster built on the body of a 1967 Ford Mustang. The car is associated with the name of Ohio George Montgomery and with the sponsor Malco. The parts are usually molded in light and blue plastic, and the model is meant to be assembled, painted and finished with decals.
Gassers were a class of American quarter-mile racing cars marked by a high raised front axle, a lightened body and a powerful supercharged engine. The Malco Gasser was among the best known machines of that era at the turn of the 1960s and was famous for its aggressive looks as well as for its performance on the strip.
Glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic. We recommend spraying the body with an airbrush over a filler primer, polishing the racing finish and letting it dry under protection before the decals go on. The engine, the chrome and the interior come to life with contrasting shades and a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
