A marking set in 1:32 scale devoted to Alois Vasatko, the first commander of the Czechoslovak Fighter Wing of the RAF. The third part of the range.
Responsibility details are not available.
Alois Vasatko is among the most prominent figures of Czechoslovak fighter aviation in the Second World War. After the fall of France he carried on the fight in the RAF, and in 1942 he became the first commander of the Czechoslovak Fighter Wing, that is, the formation made up of the Czechoslovak squadrons. The machines connected with his name are therefore a rewarding subject for building in a large scale, where even small markings stand out.
It is a marking set for a model in 1:32 scale, tied to the person of Alois Vasatko; in the order of the range it is the third part. The instructions enclosed by the manufacturer give the extent of the sheet, that is, which insignia, lettering and personal markings it holds, and the recommended placing on the model.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions what form it takes. A wet decal releases from its backing paper once soaked, whereas neither self-adhesive film nor a masking stencil is soaked and water damages them beyond repair; the harm here runs one way only, so it pays to check rather than to hurry. One thing is common to both forms: the surface has to be clean, smooth and free of grease, the elements are handled with tweezers, and once finished the whole has to dry thoroughly before you seal it with varnish.
A model of the aircraft, paints, varnish and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise. The manufacturer's description gives the extent of the elements supplied.
