This is a photo-etched metal detail set, not a tank model. The add-on set (vol.2) from Aber holds thin photo-etched early version fenders and related parts for the Soviet KV-I and KV-II heavy tanks. The metal fenders have a realistic edge thickness and let you shape buckling or combat damage.
The KV-I and KV-II were Soviet heavy tanks from the start of the Second World War with notably thick armor. The sheet-metal fenders over the tracks often deformed or went missing altogether in service, and photo-etched metal imitates that quality of the real vehicle more faithfully than stiff plastic. This set matches the early pattern of fenders.
Take the fenders out of the fret, bend them along the scored lines and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. If you want to suggest damage, shape them before gluing. Degrease the metal and give it a coat of primer.
An accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
