5 Colour Lozenge - Faded 1:32 — HGW lozenge camouflage (wet transfer)

This is a sheet of wet transfers, not a kit. Lozenge was a printed German camouflage fabric made up of diamonds (oblique quadrilaterals) that covered the fabric of German aircraft from 1917. This variant uses a five-color lozenge pattern in a faded shade reminiscent of cloth bleached by sun and weather. You transfer it onto the wings, the fuselage and the control surfaces of a model; such a regular pattern would be very hard to paint by hand. The 1:32 scale matches large models of German First World War aircraft.

Use

• Go over the base with gloss varnish so that the transfer adheres without silvered edges.
• Cut out the piece, moisten it in lukewarm water and move it onto the surface; follow the direction of the fabric strips when matching the pattern up.
• Wipe off the water and the bubbles with a soft cloth, or use a decal softener.
• Once dry, go over it with matte varnish so that the decor merges with the surrounding covering.
