Eduard 1:32 A-1D engine is a photo-etched detail set from Eduard for refining the powerplant of the A-1 Skyraider attack aircraft in its A-1D version.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:32 scale adds fine metal details to the engine area of the A-1D Skyraider attack aircraft. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a kit. The photo-etched parts complete the simplified plastic features of the powerplant and raise the fidelity, above all if you want to present the engine with the cowlings off.
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider was an American single-engine propeller-driven ground-attack and attack aircraft powered by a powerful radial engine. It excelled in armament load, toughness and long endurance over the battlefield and served well into the jet era. An engine section rendered in detail is among the favorite features on models at a large scale.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp blade and make the bends in a bending tool. Glue the metal with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and coat it with a primer for metal before painting. Match the shades of the engine to the real powerplant and try the work dry beforehand.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
