A set of seat belts for a model of the British fighter biplane DH.2 in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The DH.2 was a British single-seat fighter biplane of the First World War with a pusher layout, that is with the engine and the propeller behind the pilot. Thin booms joined the short nacelle of the fuselage to the tail surfaces. This solution gave the pilot an unobstructed view and fire straight ahead at a time when the British did not yet have a mechanism for firing through the propeller disc. The pilot sits in an open cabin entirely uncovered from above, so the seat belts are among the first things a viewer sees on a finished model.
A set of seat belts for a DH.2 model in 1:32 scale. It replaces the solution from the kit, where the belts tend to be suggested at most as a raised relief on the seat, and on older tooling they are not modeled at all. The extent of the delivery, that is the number of belts and whether the package also holds buckles, is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the belts out with a sharp blade on a hard mat and place them dry first, before you reach for the glue. What makes the biggest difference is not running the belt in a single plane: let it fall slightly over the edge of the seat and shape it at the bend, so that it looks as if its own weight were resting on it. It is glued spot by spot and in a tiny amount, because excess is squeezed out from under the belt and shows. Finish the cabin and glue the belts in before you close the fuselage up, after that you will not get inside.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
