Color elements of the cockpit interior of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3 in 1:32 scale from the Quinta line with the code QD. The elements are printed and colored straight away, so they bring raised relief along with color and lettering in a single step. They are carried on sheets of decal paper, from which an element slides into place after a brief soak. The set is an accessory to a kit, and the kit it is drawn for is stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
The elements of the QD line have no adhesive layer of their own. Cut the piece out of the sheet, leave it for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide it off the carrier paper into place; do not use a decal softener, as the chemistry would attack the printed resin. The base has to be clean, smooth, degreased and gone over with gloss clear, otherwise the element will not hold. Press it down with a soft cotton swab from the center toward the edges, so that no air stays beneath it. On a broken-up shape a drop of cyanoacrylate glue will help, with which you catch the element in a recess.
The Bf 109 was a German single-seat fighter aircraft and one of the most widespread machines of its day. The configurations of the E line belonged to the main fighter armament at the start of the Second World War. The cockpit was cramped and clear at the same time, so in 1:32 scale a great deal of it is visible past an open canopy, and exactly for that reason it pays to finish the interior properly on large models.
The kit of the aircraft, paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
