A set of fabric seat belts, 1:32 Bristol M.1C, with photo-etched fittings for a faithful cockpit of the British monoplane fighter of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of seat belts of fabric completed by photo-etched brass fittings for a faithful rendering of the cockpit of the Bristol M.1C in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but an accessory — fabric seat belts are supple, they drape naturally and they look more realistic than belts cast in plastic.
The Bristol M.1C was a British monoplane fighter aircraft of the First World War, a braced shoulder-wing design. Despite its good flying qualities the monoplane layout gained acceptance only slowly and its use was limited, mainly to the Middle Eastern and Balkan theaters.
Cut the belts out, pull them through the photo-etched buckles and fix them with a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue. The fabric can be shaped over an edge, so the belts blend faithfully with the seat. Color finishing is not necessary; the tone can be evened out with a light wash if needed.
This is a detail accessory, not a model on its own. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
