The 1:32 Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog masking set (outside and inside) from Montex is an accessory for a plastic kit you already own, not a model. It deals with spraying the frames of the extensive cockpit glazing from outside and from inside.
Responsibility details are not available.
Self-adhesive masking templates for spraying the framing of the glazing in 1:32 scale. This is an accessory for a kit, which has to be obtained separately, not a model. On an observation aircraft with glazing at the sides and above the pilot's head, the frames make up a large part of the visible area of the fuselage, so the overall impression of the finished model stands or falls on how they are done.
The Cessna L-19, later designated O-1 Bird Dog, was an American high-wing monoplane with fixed landing gear, derived from a civil design and used for observation, liaison and the control of air support. It is distinguished by glazing carried into the side doors and into the roof of the cabin, which gave the crew a view in practically every direction. It served with a number of armed forces and, after the end of its military career, in civil use.
First work out which masks belong on the roof and which in the side panes, and apply them before the fuselage is closed up, if the construction of the model allows it. Apply the inside masks first and spray the interior shade, as otherwise the frames would be very hard to finish from inside. Once the finish is done, take the masks off at a sharp angle and slowly, so that the edge of the paint separates cleanly. Remove any adhesive residue with a cotton swab moistened in clean water.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
