A color laminated photo-etched instrument panel from the manufacturer Yahu Models in 1:32 scale. This is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory for the cockpit that replaces the plastic or decal instrument panel from the kit and markedly raises the realism of the cockpit. The panel comes finished in color and self-adhesive, so it can be fitted without painting.
The Douglas SBD Dauntless was an American carrier dive bomber that played a key role in the Battle of Midway. The early SBD-1 to SBD-3 versions formed the backbone of the carrier dive bomber squadrons of the US Navy in the first half of the war.
The panel is made up of fine etched layers with faithfully rendered dials, switches and labels. The parts are separated from the fret, stacked together and glued in place of the original panel in the cockpit. We recommend a dry fit first, working with tweezers and securing it with a drop of cyanoacrylate if needed. Painting the instrument panel is not necessary.
This is an accessory for the cockpit, not a complete model. A matching kit is needed to use it; neither the kit nor glue is included in the package.
