Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detailing set from the Czech maker Eduard of Obrnice near Most, intended for working up a plastic model of the Douglas A-26C Invader in 1:32 scale. The parts are etched from thin sheet and replace or supplement the simplified plastic parts. The set does not make a model — it is an accessory that needs the matching plastic kit.
The name carries no closer subtitle, which is usual with Eduard's photo-etched sets. Sets of this type usually bring features that cannot be molded in plastic at the right thickness. The specific make-up of the parts and any color printing are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The Douglas A-26 Invader was an American twin-engine all-metal attack aircraft with a tricycle landing gear. The A-26C version carried a glazed nose section, unlike the variant with the solid nose. In 1:32 scale this is a large model on which detail pays off.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, not with nippers — the sheet would ripple. Make the bends in a photo-etch bender or between two blades. Degrease the sheet before gluing and join it with superglue (cyanoacrylate) or an adhesive meant for photo-etched parts. Treat bare sheet with a primer for metal before painting, otherwise the paint flakes off. Hold small parts down on adhesive tape so that they do not fly away.
This is an accessory for a model, not the model itself. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
