Big Ed is a package in which the Czech manufacturer Eduard gathers several separate refining sets for one model, here the F/A-18 Hornet carrier fighter in the large 1:32 scale. It therefore covers the cockpit, the exterior and the masking in one go. It is not an aircraft kit but a collection of accessories to the base plastic model.
The F/A-18 Hornet is an American twin-engine multirole carrier fighter and attack aircraft. It serves on aircraft carriers and with land-based units and handles both air combat and attacks on ground targets. The large 1:32 scale brings out the details of the cockpit, the landing gear and the armament, which photo-etch and masks sharpen up.
Bond the color photo-etch for the cockpit with super glue and press the self-adhesive elements on. The masking film makes painting the canopy and the wheels easier. In a large scale patience and working with tweezers pay off; degrease the photo-etch before painting.
This is a collection of refining accessories, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
