A set of painting masks, F-35A Lightning II, in 1:32 scale from Eduard. They serve for accurate masking of the glazing and other areas while painting; the model itself is obtained separately.
Responsibility details are not available.
Eduard painting masks for the modern F-35A Lightning II combat aircraft in 1:32 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki tape, follow the framing of the one-piece canopy and other areas exactly, hold well, leave no adhesive residue when lifted off and can be used again if handled with care.
The F-35A is an American single-seat fifth-generation multi-role combat aircraft with features that reduce its radar signature. The A version is the land-based variant with conventional takeoff and landing. The machine combines advanced sensors, weapons in internal bays and the ability to share data across a combat network, and it is being introduced by a number of allied air forces.
Stick the masks onto a clean and degreased surface, do not stretch them and press the edges down with a stick or a toothpick so that paint does not run under the edge. Spraying with an airbrush in fine coats is ideal, and the masks should be lifted off while the paint has only just dried. Besides the glazing they also suit the masking of sharp color transitions as shown in the instructions.
The masks are not a model. This is a set of masking tapes for that type; the kit itself, paints and glue have to be obtained separately.
