A masking set in 1:32 scale for the Northrop F-5E Tiger II in the Expert form. It covers the areas that are to stay free of paint while spraying.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Northrop F-5E Tiger II is a light supersonic fighter created as a simple and inexpensive machine for allied air forces. It served in two dozen countries, and in American hands it was used mainly in air combat training, where it demonstrated the tactics of the adversary. You can recognize it by the slim fuselage, the small wing area with extended leading edge roots and the pair of engines housed in the tail.
The masks cover the areas that are to stay clean after spraying. Most often this is the canopy glazing, where painting the frames by hand with a brush takes many times longer and only rarely looks sharp. The individual pieces are cut to the outline of the parts of the given scale, so there is no measuring and no cutting of tape directly on the model.
Stick the masks onto a clean, dry and degreased surface, and always before spraying. Press the edges down carefully with a blunt tip so that no paint gets under them. Spray several thin layers instead of one heavy one; a heavy layer builds a ridge at the edge of the mask that stays visible even after it is taken off. Remove the mask soon after the paint has set, while the layer is still flexible, and lift it with the tip of a sharp blade.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
