1:32 F/A-18E Super Hornet BE is a set of 3D textured instrument panels from Red Fox Studio on decal paper for the single-seat cockpit of the model in 1:32 scale. The set is intended for the Revell kit.

A set of colored elements with printed relief for the single-seat version of the Super Hornet. The carrier is decal paper: the elements are soaked off, slid into place on the wet glossy base and, once dried off, look like three-dimensional displays and buttons. They are neither glued nor sanded. The manufacturer cut the sheet for the Revell kit.
The single-seat Super Hornet is a textbook glass cockpit. Round dials have given way to three large screens, among which the central color display holds pride of place, and above them sits a data entry panel. Standby instruments remain, but they are pushed out to the edge. Compared with the two-seat version the whole rear station falls away here, so everything is concentrated into a single panel and two side consoles - and all the more of it is visible. The seat has its own belts and the large hinged canopy leaves the tub exposed, including the space behind the backrest. It is with this type of cockpit above all that hand painting cannot achieve a faithful look for the screens, because what decides is the sharpness of the grid and of the lettering.
Work from the top down: first the main panel with the displays, then the side consoles. The soak should be short and the water lukewarm; let the film release outside the bath. Carry the element into place with a damp brush and fine-tune it with a toothpick while the base is still sliding. The flat areas of the displays will not tolerate air under the film, so press the surplus water out with a cotton swab from the center toward the edges and check by the reflection of the light. On large flat areas you usually do not need a decal softener at all - use it only where the film passes over the edge of a console, and then thinly. Finally fix the whole cockpit with a light coat of semi-matte varnish and then polish the displays in spots with a gloss varnish, so that they keep the reflection of glass.
