A set of fabric seat belts, HGW Fokker D.VII, in 1:32 scale with etched metal buckles. A detail accessory for the cockpit, not a model of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail accessory, not an aircraft kit. The set is shaped for the German Fokker D.VII fighter biplane of the First World War. The pilot's fabric seat belts are of fine microtextile and are supplemented by etched metal buckles and fittings. They replace the flat plastic or decal belts from a kit and lift the realism of a cockpit in 1:32 scale markedly.
The Fokker D.VII was a German fighter biplane of the closing phase of the First World War and is regarded as one of the best fighters of that conflict. It stood out for being easy to handle and for behaving well at high altitude; it was powered by inline Mercedes or BMW engines.
Release the belts carefully from the sheet, thread them through the etched metal buckles and shape them into the seat and the cockpit; the soft microtextile holds its shape and looks like real fabric. The material takes water and thinners, so the belts can be toned, filtered and given a light weathering. Clean the etched buckles before assembly and, if you like, paint them in a metallic shade. The result is a faithful cockpit detail that neither plastic nor decal belts from the box can offer.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
