An accessory from the Polish maker Yahu Models: a colored instrument panel for a model of the Horten Ho 229 in 1:32 scale. This is not an aircraft kit but a detailed replacement for the kit instrument panel - the part is finely drawn and already painted, so the tedious picking out of dials and the masking of small details are avoided.
The Horten Ho 229 was a German experimental jet aircraft of flying wing layout from the end of the Second World War. It was built to the design of the Horten brothers and got no further than the prototype stage by the end of the war; even today, however, it remains one of the technically most remarkable designs of its time and a perennially popular subject among modelers.
The panel only needs to be glued in place of the original part - a small amount of gel super glue or a special glue for photo-etched parts works best. Sand off the relief of the kit panel beforehand so that the new part seats flat. The dial glazing can be brought to life at the end with a drop of gloss clear coat, which creates the impression of real glass.
This is an accessory - the aircraft model is not included in the package.
