The model offers richly broken up parts, photo-etched components and a detailed powerplant; it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Ilyushin Il-2 Sturmovik was an armored ground-attack aircraft and one of the most produced combat machines of the Second World War. The early versions were single-seaters, and in the winter conditions of the Eastern Front they flew on ski landing gear. Characteristic is the armored bathtub protecting the pilot as well as the engine, and the heavy armament for attacks on ground targets.
Build and paint the faithful engine and the cockpit before the airframe is closed. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue and the plastic with a thin modeling cement. A winter camouflage with a white coat comes into its own with washes and drybrushing; apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
