Light Plywood - Transparent (NO GRID) 1:32 (HGW, wood imitation)

A decal imitation of light plywood in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer HGW. The variant is transparent, so it is applied onto a colored base and you regulate the resulting tone of the wood with its shade. The designation NO GRID means that the sheet holds no preprinted grid and you cut the area out as you need it. The technique makes it possible to create a convincing wooden surface even without experience in painting growth rings.

Use

• Lay a suitable base color under the surface; with the shade (white, cream, yellow) the individual panels can be told apart.
• Cut the shape of the area you need out with an overlap of about 2 mm.
• Apply it like an ordinary decal, using a softener and a setting solution.
• Trim the overlapping edges off with a very sharp knife once dry.
