The Ansaldo A.1 Balilla was an Italian single-seat fighter of the last period of the First World War, which came into its own more markedly only after the war, among other places in foreign service and in civilian hands. Eddie Rickenbacker, a former racing driver and the commander of the famous 94th Aero Squadron, is among the best known figures of American aviation history, and the set follows on from that legacy.
Wash the resin parts clean of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. The photo-etched parts have to be bent over an edge and likewise bonded with cyanoacrylate; before painting it is worth spraying them with a primer for metal. Work the parts into the build to suit your own project, because limited sets of this kind tend to be intended for more experienced modelers.
