Eduard 1:32 Lynx Mk.8 interior is a photo-etched set for detailing the cockpit and the cabin of a model of the Lynx Mk.8 helicopter in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for modelers, not a kit. The set contains photo-etched metal parts for the inside of a model of the Lynx Mk.8 shipborne helicopter in 1:32 scale: instrument panels, consoles, covers, seat fittings and the small details that a plastic mold cannot cast in a realistic thickness. On a helicopter the interior is more visible than on an aircraft: the glazing is extensive, the doors are often open and the cabin can be seen right through.
The Lynx Mk.8 was the British naval version of the twin-engined multipurpose Westland Lynx helicopter, operated from the decks of surface ships. It is characterized by fixed wheeled landing gear, a four-blade main rotor with a rigid head and instrument equipment for naval tasks, which the richly detailed cabin matches.
The interior has to be finished before you glue the fuselage halves together, because after that there is no getting inside. Cut the parts off on glass or on a hard surface, not with pliers. Make the bends in an etch bender, and on small consoles the blade of a scalpel will serve as a stop. Glue with super glue in tiny drops applied with a pin. Always coat unpainted metal surfaces with a primer for metal. The inside of a helicopter benefits from being shaded with a dark shade in the corners and having the edges brought out with a dry brush, because an evenly sprayed surface inside a cabin looks flat.
This is an accessory for modelers, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
