Mk-77 Mod. 4/5/6 fire bombs 1:32 from Aerobonus (Aires) — a resin set of aerial incendiary (napalm) bombs in the Mod. 4, 5 and 6 variants to be carried under an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of the American Mk-77 aerial incendiary bomb in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer Aerobonus (Aires). It is not an aircraft model but a set of armament to be carried on the pylons, representing the Mod. 4, 5 and 6 subvariants. The set is intended to complement larger models of combat aircraft and to build dioramas with the ground preparation of armament.
The Mk-77 is an American low-drag aerial incendiary bomb filled with a thickened flammable mixture. It is unguided munition with no retarding parachute, used by a number of American combat aircraft from the Vietnam War through to later conflicts. The individual subvariants differ in the treatment of the body and the fuzing.
It is a resin set for more experienced modelers. First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Once painted, the details come out best after an accent with a wash and a light patina. Incendiary bombs are usually finished in light gray or olive shades with period markings added; choose the exact scheme according to the deployment of the particular machine.
This is not an aircraft model but a resin set of armament. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the pylons and the base model are not included.
