A resin figure of a modern fighter pilot of the Luftwaffe in a seated pose, supplied together with an ejection seat. The set from the Aerobonus range by the Czech firm Aires is intended for experienced modelers and will serve to populate the cockpit of a modern jet aircraft in 1:32 scale.
Today's pilots of the Luftwaffe use standard Western flight equipment: a helmet with a visor, an oxygen mask, an anti-g suit and a survival system tied to the ejection seat. A figure strapped into the seat brings a model the scale and the human element that large cockpit renderings otherwise lack.
Before building, wash the castings in soapy water (to remove the mold release agent) and cut off the casting blocks with a saw or a scalpel; protect your airways while sanding. Join the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the suit and the equipment with acrylic paints and a brush; you create volume by gentle shading in the folds and lightening the raised areas, and the straps of the seat are brought out by a dark wash.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. It is not a complete aircraft model - the basic kit is not included in the package.
