The flowering meadow in its spring form is a finished grass growth that is laid on an already prepared base of a diorama or a display case. The coloring matches early spring: fresh green predominates, with small flowers mixed into it. In the Model Scene range of grass mats this item is followed by further seasons, so one subject can be graded from spring through to autumn.
The growth suits grassed areas around roads, the edges of fields, embankments and open areas between buildings and equipment. Because it is a finished piece of surface, there is no need to sprinkle static grass or to glue individual tufts. The name does not specify the dimensions or the scale, so choose according to the height of the vegetation and the density of the flowers in relation to what stands on the diorama.
First level the base and clear it of dust, otherwise the sheet will not adhere. Adjust the shape with sharp scissors before gluing and thin the edges, so that no visible line appears against the surrounding terrain. Glue the sheet down with a PVA glue and weight it until the glue dries.
The mat will be appreciated by builders of dioramas and display cases who want their greenery finished quickly. An irregularly trimmed edge and a few loosely placed offcuts around the main area look more believable than a continuous rectangular piece. A base, terrain, glue and a model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
