Curtiss P-40, part 1 — decals in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Print Scale. A water-slide sheet with the markings of the famous American fighter of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The first part of the decal series devoted to the Curtiss P-40 fighter in 1:48 scale. Water-slide decals widen the possibilities of your kit by further markings; the P-40 is among the types with the most varied range of schemes, so an alternative sheet positively suggests itself.
The Curtiss P-40 was the most widespread American fighter of the beginning of the Second World War. The rugged machine with the V12 Allison engine was not among the fastest, but it excelled in toughness and reliability. It served literally all over the world, from North Africa through the Pacific to the Eastern Front, and in many air forces: American, British and Soviet. Immortality was assured it by the shark mouths of the aircraft from China and Burma, but the markings of the P-40 offer far more, from desert camouflage to winter improvisations.
Decals belong on a gloss base, so coat the camouflage before application. Press the water out from the center toward the edges and use a decal softening solution over raised details. On machines from field airstrips a discreet weathering suits the model after the final coat: a fine wash into the panel lines and chipping around the access covers underline the hard service of the real subject.
The decal sheet is a stand-alone accessory; the kit is not included in the package.
