A figure of a modern NATO combat pilot in 1:32 scale. It completes an aircraft model or a scene on a base and gives the model a sense of size.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure represents a modern combat pilot in the form used in NATO armed forces. A figure beside an aircraft does for the effect of a model what the airframe alone cannot: it gives a comparison of size and adds a story to the scene. It suits models of postwar and contemporary combat aircraft as well as a diorama on a base.
One pilot figure in 1:32 scale. The number of parts, their list and the way they are put together are given in the manufacturer's instructions. Try the assembly dry before gluing, above all where the arms and the head meet the torso, because that is where a seam shows the most on a finished figure.
Before painting, wash the figure in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and let it dry out completely; grease from manufacture and from your fingers repels paint. Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the rest carefully, so that the texture of the fabric does not disappear. Apply the base coat in a thin layer, otherwise the shapes of the folds will be lost. Build the face and the hands from a dark shade toward a light one: lighten the raised areas and deepen the folds and shadows with a darker tone. Paint the flight suit and the harness separately and leave the transitions between them for last, along with any small markings.
The aircraft model, a base, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
