Techmod 1:32 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I/Mk.IIb is a sheet of waterslide decals with markings for models of the early versions of the British Spitfire fighter in 1:32.
Responsibility details are not available.
This sheet of waterslide decals from the Polish manufacturer Techmod brings markings for British Supermarine Spitfire fighter aircraft of the early Mk.I and Mk.IIb versions in 1:32. It is not a kit or a model but an accessory for a model already built: you use it when you want a finish other than the one the box offers, or when the original sheet has yellowed or cracked.
The Spitfire was a single-seat all-metal fighter with a characteristic elliptical wing and a Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine. The Mk.I version made up the backbone of the British fighter defense in 1940 together with the Hurricane. The Mk.II that followed had a more powerful variant of the engine; the letter in the designation set out the armament of the wing, with the b form combining machine guns with 20 mm cannons. A number of Czechoslovak and Polish pilots served on machines of the early versions, which makes this sheet an interesting accessory for collectors with an interest in the Central European trace in the Royal Air Force.
Apply the decals onto a gloss coat that is perfectly dry. Cut the motif out close, immerse it for a few seconds in lukewarm water, let it rest and slide it onto a dampened spot. The round national insignia on the wing settle over riveted seams better with a decal softener. At the end give the model a matte coat, as the camouflage finishes of the period were matte.
This is a separate accessory. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
