A figure of a United States Air Force combat pilot in 1:32 scale, the manufacturer's part number 320151.
Responsibility details are not available.
A combat pilot of the United States Air Force. That service came into being as an independent branch of the armed forces in 1947, so the figure is aimed at the postwar period, not at airmen of the Second World War. The figure is listed generically, with no tie to a single type of aircraft, so you can match it to whatever you happen to be building.
A figure in 1:32 scale to complete a model of an aircraft or a scene on an airfield. The exact pose, kit and number of pieces are given on the manufacturer's packaging. In a large scale an adult figure comes out at roughly five and a half centimeters; on a figure like that even small detail shows, so it pays to paint it more carefully than figures in the small scales.
Wash and degrease the parts, cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the figure and sand the remainder down. A base coat is essential on figures, as otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth surface. Build the flying clothing up on a base tone, deepen the folds with a dark glaze and lighten the raised areas. Paint the straps and buckles after the base layer of the clothing, otherwise they are laborious to line in. Leave the face to the end and even the finished figure out with matte varnish.
The model of the aircraft, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
