A figure of a US Navy combat pilot in 1:32 scale, part number 320153.
Responsibility details are not available.
A combat pilot of the US Navy. Flying from the sea means different conditions from flying off a permanent base: a short deck run, a moving deck and no alternate airfield over water. The equipment of a naval aviator matches that. The figure is generic, not tied to one type of machine, so it will serve with whatever you happen to be building.
A figure in 1:32 scale to complete an aircraft model or a deck scene. The exact pose, the gear and the number of pieces are stated on the manufacturer's packaging. The large scale gives room for detail, but it also reveals anything left unfinished, so it pays to give the figure more time than a part from a kit.
Wash and degrease the parts, cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the figure and sand the rest down. Lay a base coat before painting. Work from the top down and from the large surfaces toward the detail, so that any overrun is hidden under the following layer. Deepen the folds of the clothing with a dark glaze and lighten the edges with a shade one tone lighter. Leave the face and the hands for last, as those are what a figure is judged by, and even the finished work out with a matte varnish.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
