A resin side cockpit door for the British Gloster Gladiator fighter biplane in 1:48 scale from Quickboost (the range of simple resin parts from Aires). The finely cast door with a faithful inner structure can be seated in the open position and so reveal the interior of the cabin. It is not a model of an aircraft but a detail part that will enrich the view into the cockpit.
The Gloster Gladiator was the last British fighter biplane with the Royal Air Force, powered by a Bristol Mercury radial engine. Despite its outdated concept it took part in the fighting at the beginning of the Second World War, among other places in the defense of Malta. The side cockpit door, seated in the open position, makes it possible to look into a faithfully equipped interior.
These are castings in resin. Wash them in lukewarm water with detergent and rid them of the remains of mold release agent, otherwise neither paint nor glue will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw away from the part and sand the surfaces. They are glued with cyanoacrylate, not with cement for plastic. Protect your airways when sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set for more experienced modelers. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
