A detail accessory from Tetra Model Works in 1:32 scale. This is not a model but a set of fabric seat belts for the crews of American aircraft of the US Army Air Forces (USAAF) and the US Navy from the period of the Second World War. It is type 2 in green. The fabric straps are combined with fine photo-etched buckles and fittings for the most realistic look to the harness.
Seat harnesses were an integral part of the cockpits of American fighters and bombers of the Second World War. In 1:32 scale they are clearly visible and they are among the elements that most bring an interior to life. The fabric version faithfully imitates the way real straps hang, which flat photo-etched belts cannot do.
Thread the straps through the photo-etched buckles and assemble the belts to match the original; the fabric shapes well and can be folded realistically over the edge of the seat. Glue the photo-etched fittings on with a tiny drop of super glue. The shade of the fabric can be left as it is, or lightly unified and brought out with weathering.
This is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
