Lewis Mk.I standard type with the jacket removed (2 pcs) 1:32 is a resin detail set from GasPatch models — a pair of British Lewis aircraft machine guns of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an airplane kit but a supplementary set from GasPatch models. The package holds two resin castings of the Lewis Mk.I aircraft machine gun in the standard form, but with the front barrel cooling jacket removed, in 1:32 scale. The set serves to refine the armament of First World War aircraft models.
The Lewis was a light machine gun widely used in aviation as the observer's flexible weapon and as a weapon firing forward. For aircraft use the bulky cooling jacket around the barrel was often removed, because the airflow in flight took care of cooling. This form is based on the standard type but has the front part of the barrel exposed. The caliber was .303, that is roughly 7.7 mm.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces lightly with respiratory protection. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bring out the exposed barrel and the pan magazine with steel shades and a fine wash.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
