This is a set of metal track links for the anti-aircraft system 2S6 Tunguska. It is not a model but a detail accessory for the model of the 2S6 Tunguska vehicle in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Friulmodel (Hungary).
The set brings individual metal track links in white metal, which are laid out and joined with wire pins, so that the track stays workable once assembled. Thanks to the weight of the metal the track settles naturally and sags between the road wheels, which looks more faithful than the vinyl tracks of the base kit. The links have a crisp casting and finer worked-out detail.
The 2S6 Tunguska is a Soviet, later Russian self-propelled anti-aircraft system combining automatic cannons and guided missiles on a tracked chassis. It serves to defend units against low-flying targets.
Clean the flash and the casting gate remains carefully off the links, so that they fit together smoothly. It is practical to paint the assembled track separately from the model: lay on a primer suited to metal, a dark metallic base shade and then weathering with washes and pigments, which stand out on the running gear. With longer tracks work in subassemblies and let them dry before they go onto the model. A sag on the upper run gives the model a realistic look.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The vehicle itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
