This product is a turned metal 7.5 cm barrel with a single-baffle muzzle brake, intended for a model of the German VK3002(DB) prototype tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle kit but a detail accessory. Turned metal captures the cylindrical shape of the barrel and the form of the muzzle brake exactly, and it does away with cleaning up the parting seam that plastic barrels carry.
The VK3002(DB) was a design proposal from Daimler-Benz of the early 1940s, one of the prototypes that preceded the production Panther. The vehicle carried a 7.5 cm gun. This barrel variant has a single-baffle muzzle brake.
The barrel is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend cutting off the original plastic barrel where it meets the mantlet and fitting the metal part so that it sits on the axis. Metal holds the crisp edges of the muzzle brake and takes polishing before painting well.
This is a metal detail accessory, not a stand-alone model. The base tank kit is not included in the package.
