An add-on part, not a standalone model. This is a pressed brass gun shield replacing the plastic shield of the 7.5 cm PaK 40 anti-tank gun. The thin pressed metal matches the scale thickness of the real sheet better than injection-molded plastic.
The 7.5 cm PaK 40 was the main German anti-tank gun of the Second World War, of 7.5 cm caliber. From 1942 it formed the foundation of the German anti-tank defense on every battlefield. Its characteristic double frontal shield protected the crew from splinters and from small-arms fire.
Shape the metal shield as needed, clean up the edges and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting for adhesion. Fine chipping and dust pigments will give the shield the wear of combat.
