Eduard 1:35 A. S. 51 Horsa Glider Mk. I landing flaps is a photo-etched detail set from Eduard for a faithful rendering of the landing flaps of the British Horsa assault glider.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale serves for a detailed rendering of the landing flaps of the British Airspeed A. S. 51 Horsa assault glider in its Mk. I version. It is not a model of the glider but an accessory for a kit. The metal parts make it possible to show the flaps in the lowered position together with the faithful inner structure.
The Airspeed A. S. 51 Horsa was a British transport glider of the Second World War, used to land paratroops and light equipment. It had no engine of its own and was brought to its target by tug aircraft. It was deployed among other operations in the Normandy landings. Its large size and the 1:35 scale make flaps rendered in detail a rewarding feature of a model.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp blade and make the bends in a bending tool. Glue the metal with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and coat it with a primer for metal before painting. Match the flaps to the shades of the wing surfaces and try the assembly dry beforehand.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
