An Aber photo-etched metal detail set in 1:35 scale. It holds additional accessories for the American Jeep light utility vehicle: small metal details that sharpen a model and bring it to life. They replace the simplified plastic parts and add features that cannot be drawn from a mold.
The Jeep was an American light utility vehicle fielded in large numbers by the Allied armies during the Second World War. It served for reconnaissance, liaison and transport and became an icon of the equipment of its day. The small accessories gave the vehicle its characteristic lived-in look.
The photo-etched metal parts are thin and small, so separate them with a sharp knife on a cutting surface and bend them over a metal ruler or a photo-etch bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), as cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a coat of primer so that the finish holds; at the end a fine wash and pigments help to pick out the detail.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
