The MAiM air conditioners, the big set in 1:35 scale gives modern urban dioramas an authentic detail: air conditioning units on facades and roofs are one of the recognition features of contemporary buildings.
Responsibility details are not available.
The big set of air conditioning units from the manufacturer MAiM is a diorama accessory in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit of a vehicle but a collection of props for modern buildings. Air conditioners are precisely the detail that tells a contemporary town apart from a historical backdrop at a glance, because you find them on facades and roofs from the Middle East to European housing estates.
The set is meant for fitting out buildings in modern and post-apocalyptic dioramas: apartment blocks, shops, workshops, checkpoints. Units placed at different heights on a facade give a building a third dimension and credibility; in wartime scenes of modern conflicts they are practically compulsory equipment. Thanks to the larger number of pieces in the set you can cover a whole block of buildings with one purchase.
Clean the castings up and prime them in a light shade. The basis is a dirty white or light gray, over which rust streaks below the brackets, a dusting of pigments and faded areas of the casings all belong. A dry brush will bring out the louvers and the grilles. Weather each unit a little differently, because it is precisely the lack of uniformity that looks most believable in the end.
It is supplied as unpainted castings to be cleaned up and painted. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
