Armament for the T-10 heavy tank in 1:35 scale from Aber: a turned barrel of the 122 mm gun and a coaxial machine gun. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of turned metal barrels in 1:35 scale for a model of the Soviet T-10 heavy tank. It contains the barrel of the 122 mm D-25TA gun and the barrel of the coaxial DShK heavy machine gun. It is not a kit but a replacement for the plastic parts. The long barrel with its muzzle brake is the dominant feature of this tank, and the plastic part tends to be bent.
The T-10 was the last series-produced Soviet heavy tank, derived from the IS family. It carried a 122 mm gun with a muzzle brake and had a low rounded turret with good resistance to hits. Its secondary armament was made up of 12.7 mm heavy machine guns, a weapon effective even against lightly protected targets. With the arrival of powerful medium tanks the whole category of heavy tanks lost its point, and the T-10 remained its conclusion.
Cut the plastic barrel off as close to the turret as possible and drill the seating so that the pin of the metal barrel sits firmly without passing right through. Degrease the metal with alcohol and apply a primer, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. It is bonded with super glue, that is, cyanoacrylate, applied drop by drop. Fit the barrel at the very end of the build so that it is not bent during handling, and check its axis by eye from the front while the glue sets.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
