Aber photo-etched detail set, vol. 3, side stowage bins for the German Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf. D carrier in 1:35 scale makes the characteristic side bins of the vehicle convincing.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of the vehicle but a set of photo-etched brass parts from the Polish firm Aber. The additional vol. 3 set is aimed at the side stowage bins for models of the German Sd.Kfz. 251/1 medium armored half-track in the Ausf. D version. The metal parts replace the simplified plastic bins with thin-walled pieces with faithful hinges and latches.
The Sd.Kfz. 251, popularly known as the Hanomag, was the most widespread German medium armored half-track of the Second World War. The Ausf. D version was simplified for production and had the characteristic side stowage bins integrated into the hull sides, which are typical of this variant.
The bin parts are cut from the fret, cleaned up and bent evenly along the engraved lines (a photo-etch bending tool helps). They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a primer for metal.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
