This is a turned metal barrel of the German tank gun of 8.8 cm KwK 43 with a length of L/71, in 1:35 scale from the firm Aber. It is not a model of a vehicle but an accurate replacement part in place of the plastic barrel from the box. It is intended for models with the so-called Porsche turret, that is, for the VK4502 (P) prototype and early heavy tanks Tiger B with the Porsche turret.
The long 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 gun was among the most effective anti-tank weapons of the Second World War. Thanks to its high muzzle velocity and long barrel it pierced the armor of practically all Allied tanks at great range. It armed the heavy tanks Tiger II and the Jagdtiger tank destroyers.
The turned barrel has a faithfully shaped muzzle and bore and needs neither drilling nor cleaning up of the mold seam that arises on plastic parts. Separate the part from the casting stub, degrease it and glue it on with cyanoacrylate glue. Prime the metal before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
