An injection-molded plastic kit of the amphibious BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle in its export form, in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian maker Unimodel. The model is made up of plastic parts on sprues and is supplemented by a decal sheet and instructions. The assembled vehicle measures roughly twenty centimeters in length in this scale.
The BMP-3 is a tracked amphibious infantry fighting vehicle developed in the Soviet Union at the end of the 1980s. Its main weapon is a combination of a low-pressure 100 mm gun and a coaxial 30 mm automatic cannon in the turret. The vehicle can swim, it carries an infantry squad, and in export versions it has been delivered to a range of countries.
Finish the running gear and the internal elements before closing the hull. Cut the parts off the sprues with a sharp knife and glue them with thin cement for plastic. It is a good idea to treat the surface with a primer before painting; an airbrush makes it easier to lay the base color on evenly. The patina comes from washes and pigments for dusty and muddy effects on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
